World Book Day 2026

This half term every class will be developing aspects of the children’s learning through the theme of ‘Around the World in 80 Books’. There will be a strong focus on geography as we as reading and we are challenging every class to read at least 80 books – as a class collective – throughout the half term Therefore, on World Book Day, we are asking the children to come dressed NOT AS A BOOK CHARACTER, but in a costume that it indicative of another part of the world in order to give the day a strong multi-cultural focus. For example, the children may come dressed in a sari representing India, or in lederhosen representing Austria or Switzerland.
