Remembrance at CL - wear red, white and blue
9th November 2018
Location: whole school
This Friday 9th November, the children have been asked to come to school dressed in red, white and blue to mark the end of a special ‘Remembrance’ focus that we have had this week in school. We have discussed the fact that the First World War ended 100 years ago whilst looking at key changes in some aspects of British life over the past 100 years. The children have learnt about the significance of Remembrance, considered the poppy as a symbol of Remembrance and even learnt a couple of WW1 songs that we will share in assembly this Friday.
We would ask that every child (if befitting with your religious and personal views) wears a poppy to school this Friday, along with their red, white and blue.
