World Book Day – Church Langley children were thrilled by author visit.

Our thanks were given to the Essex Library Service who arranged for the children in Years 3, 4 and 5 to have a visit from bestselling children’s author, Laura Ellen Anderson. As the creator and illustrator of the Amelia Fang series, Laura wowed the children with her inspirational childhood stories, instilling her passion and love of books and cartoons. The children were mesmerized as Laura created a fictional front cover for ‘Perceval Apple-Pie, the cheeky sailor, and the Final Spoon’ – a new character she created ‘on the spot’ with the children’s input. Laura stayed on for some time to sign a number of her books for the children. Before departure, she commented on how well-behaved the children were and what a joy they had been to work with.

Laura’s new book from the Amelia Fang series is out in October.
