CL Gymnasts in medal haul!

A huge well done to all 38 gymnasts who competed at the annual Harlow Primary Schools Gymnastics Key Steps event on Friday; it was an amazing team performance! As always, the standard was very high in all 3 competitions, and the Church Langley gymnasts did fantastically well to come away with a medal in each of the 3 categories (1st place in the Years 1 and 2; 2nd place in Years 3 and 4; and 1st place in Years 5 and 6). 

A big thank you to all the parents for supporting the gymnasts throughout the training process and on the day and a huge thank you to Mrs Edwards for assisting with the Years 1 and 2. We are very proud of all the girls' efforts, they really helped each other and were a pleasure to coach. I'm thrilled for them to do so well against such tough competiton.

Primary School Sports Partnership Manager, David Stacey, thanked all the participants on behalf of the SGO and Association members for producing such an amazing event.

“Again it was no surprise that the children of Harlow excelled when provided the opportunities to demonstrate their passion and expertise within the sporting arena. We continue to marvel at the performances, the enjoyment and the confidence demonstrated during these events; Harlow primary schools should feel incredibly proud of the difference they continue to make to enrich children’s lives. Supporting our local clubs is vitally important and we are delighted to work alongside some outstanding practitioners within the town. Another great job everyone!”

Church Langley 1 and Church Langley 2 tied for first place.

 

Years 3 and 4

Hatfield Heath 1 – 114.7 points

Church Langley 1 – 111.4 points

Hatfield Heath 2 – 109.9 points

St Nicholas – 109.7 points

Church Langley 2 – 107.5 points

St James 1 – 107.3 points

Hare Street – 105.9 points

St James 2 – 104.8 points

Roydon - 92.3 points (only 5 gymnasts)

 

Years 5 and 6

Church Langley 1 – 113.1 points

Hatfield Heath 1 – 109.6 points

Henry Moore 1 – 108.7 points

Hatfield Heath 2 – 106.3 points

Church Langley 2 – 105.3 points
