Year 6 take the plunge at Stubbers Water centre

Posted On: 05 July 2015

As a reward for all their hard work throughout the year and especially during the run-up to their SATs, the children from Year 6 had the opportunity to let their hair down for the day at the Stubbers Water Activity Centre. Travelling through the early-morning traffic, the 50 adventurers were soon doning wetsuits, buoyancy aids and huge smiles as they paddled, jet skied and sailed their way through the day. There was plenty of time for the usual high-jinks as the fun-loving adults accompanied the children into the water, joining the ducking, pushing and howls of laughter that was the giant float in the jet-ski waiting pool.

As always the children were fantastically well-behaved, putting the other visiting schools to shame with their consideration, teamwork ethic and willingness to ‘get stuck in.’ This year group really have gelled over the past few months and are preparing to leave Church Langley with a host of amazing memories which just don’t happen everywhere else. Well done to everyone who attended the Stubbers day 2015; you really know how to have fun.
