KS2 Carol Concert delights huge audience

Posted On: 19 December 2017

It was a cold and frosty eve - so frosty that the chairs began to ice up and needed a wipe down – and the parents, family and friends of children in Key Stage Two were treated to the festive singing delights of the annual Christmas Carol Concert. It began so well, but clearly the rousing rendition of ‘Sleigh Ride’ was too much for the power supply! But, in true Church Langley style, the show must go on and we were all treated to an absolutely magical, acapella version of Hark the Herald Angel Sing. While the electricity problems were being sorted, the chills that the adults felt at that point were not from the cold and to say that the children stepped up at that moment is an understatement. Once back on track, the pupils entertained everyone with a mix of traditional carols and some modern Christmas songs to get everyone well and truly in the festive mood.

A massive thank you to all of those children and loved ones who made the effort to come back and help us bring in the Christmas cheer; as always, you do the staff, and your families, very proud. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone from Church Langley Primary School!
