SCHOOL OPEN on Tuesday 13th December from 9am

School is open tomorrow - Tuesday 13th December 2022 - please read fully
Dear Parents,
I hope the children have all enjoyed a fun-filled day playing in the snow; many of them have probably never experienced snow like this so it’s been an experiential learning day away from school! We intend to open up again tomorrow but are going to operate a ‘soft opening’ from 9.00 a.m. to 9.20 a.m. so that parents have more time to get to school and don’t have to hang around in the cold waiting for siblings in other year groups to go in. Regardless of age, all children will be admitted from 9.00 a.m. onwards. It would be hugely helpful if Year 1 pupils could arrive at 9.00 a.m. as we have to get them into their costumes ready for a 9.45 a.m. performance.
Year 1 performances will go ahead as planned tomorrow, so please make sure you bring your children to school, and don’t forget your tickets! The Year 2 productions postponed from today will take place at the same time indicated on your tickets on Thursday 15th December – I hope you can all still make it.
The Creative Arts and Craft session rescheduled for tomorrow night will unfortunately have to be postponed again as I don’t want staff travelling home late in the evening when the roads will freeze over and become treacherous for travelling on – the same is true for parents. At present, the forecast for Thursday evening is better so we will try to host the Creative Arts evening then. However, I fully understand if parents would prefer to receive a refund. It is such a shame that the weather has conspired against us – I am so sorry, but hope you can appreciate that these things are completely outside our control.
Thank you for your patience and understanding today. We look forward to seeing all the children back in school tomorrow from 9.00 a.m.
Kind regards,
Stacey Ward
