Take One Picture - Year 4

In Year 4, the children in Mrs Marchant’s class followed a step-by-step tutorial to create a realistic representation of a tiger’s face. They used watercolours to build layers of colour and add detail. Then, the children added a range of tropical leaves and flowers to give the impression of a tiger hidden in a dense forest.
The children in Mrs Hible’s class took inspiration from abstract forest pieces by a contemporary artist. They drew tree trunks to portray the great height of the rainforest and decorated them with patterns using acrylic paint.
The children in Miss Lewis’ and Mrs Kingston’s class painted an animal pattern background using watercolours and placed painted leaves over the top to create a ‘hide and seek’ effect.
