Sports For All Afternoon

Posted On: 21 September 2021

And this week will be holding our first ‘Sports for All’ afternoon for two years, although we have made some modifications to the running of this event – please read the next sub-section carefully.

Sports for All Afternoon

This event will take place this Friday – 24th September 2021 – and will be entirely ticketed. Tickets will be strictly limited to 2 per family and these will be sent home with the eldest child in the family on Wednesday. Tickets can only be used to admit adults, we are not accommodating any buggies or prams this year, as we are attempting to reduce congestion amongst spectators.

Please make sure you bring your tickets with you on Friday afternoon otherwise we will not be able to let you in and your children will be disappointed. No ticket no entry sorry! Please make sure each adult has their own ticket if they arriving at different times; we will not be able to admit people who are not actually holding their own ticket.

Ticket holders should arrive at 1.00 p.m. and we will admit you all as quickly as we can before the children come out of class and the fun begins! On the back of your tickets, you will have a sticker telling you what colour team your child(ren) is/are in and whether they will be participating in the A or B zone. The A and B zones will be clearly marked on the Astro turf fencing, so hopefully you will be able to find your way to the part of the Astro turf where your children will be engaging in eight different fun sporting activities. There will of course be members of staff around to guide you on your way.

At the end of the afternoon’s fun and games, please follow staff instructions about the collection of your children – they will all return to class to change before coming out to the school gates, so please expect some delays and be patient with them and us. Thank you.

Please note we shall be collecting charitable donations on behalf of McMillan Cancer Support as parents leave, since the 24th September is the day for their World’s Largest Coffee morning. As a school, we

usually host a coffee morning, but are still a little reluctant to bring a lot of visitors inside for this event. We thought about hosting outside, but the British weather is so unpredictable! Next year…

I look forward to seeing many of you Friday afternoon.
